Indonesia is Finally Opens Up for International Visitor
Published on April 8, 2022
The policy of allowing visa-free trips and visit visas on arrival for tourism has been broadened and will take effect on April 6, 2022. Travelers from nine ASEAN nations are eligible for visa-free travel under this program, whereas foreigners from 43 countries are eligible for special VoA or special tourist visas.
Soekarno Hatta International Airport in Jakarta and Yogyakarta International Airport in Yogyakarta can supply VoA after being the first to open in Bali.
To obtain a visa-free visit or a VoA, you must first:
- Foreigners must present a passport from one of the specified countries that is valid for at least six months.
- In order to continue their journey to another nation, foreigners must have a return ticket or a pass.
- Proof of payment for a visa on arrival and proof of insurance in accordance with the COVID-19 Task Force Chair’s instructions.
Visa-free visits and VoA visit permits cannot be transferred. The holder is also not permitted to seek for a visit permit renewal through the issuance of an onshore visa. Foreigners who are found to have abused their visitor visas will face immigration penalties. Likewise, if it is proven that they have broken health procedures and disrupted public order, they will face legal action in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
